Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated in May 2026.

Merlin Builders Ltd is committed to making this website accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the recognised standard for website accessibility in the UK.

Current Accessibility Status

We believe this website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are a small business and this site is not subject to the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, however we take our responsibility to all users seriously and continue to work towards best practice.

What We Have Done

  • Used clear, plain English throughout

  • Ensured sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds

  • Used descriptive alt text on images where possible

  • Ensured the site is navigable by keyboard

  • Used a legible font size throughout

Known Limitations

Some content on this site may present accessibility challenges:

  • Embedded Instagram content is served by Meta and is outside our direct control. Meta's own accessibility standards apply to that content.

  • Some older project images may lack full alt text descriptions. We are working to address this.

Technical Specifications

This website is built to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers

  • Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality

  • Keyboard-only navigation

It has been tested on current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
